Resume
Originally this page was a copy-paste web formatted version of my resume, but it became too much effort to maintain two resumes at once!
As an alternative, the following is a summary of the key learning experiences from my resume, with my full resume at the bottom.
Key Experiences
Teaching Assistant
Key Work Experience
∗ My role as a Teaching Assistant taught me about the experience of teaching a university course & the struggle of getting students to learn.
∗ I learned that it's okay not to have the answer, & that confidently giving a wrong answer can be detrimental to learning, when you could redirect the student instead.
Director of Advocacy
Key Extracurricular Activity
∗ To give some background, I've spent some time advocating for proportional representation in the Canadian voting system, which includes meeting with MPs.
∗ This role is a way to use my previous experience as a community-oriented advocate and apply it to a field I'm passionate about. I'm excited for what the year will bring!
Portfolio Website
Key Project
* This website is my main artistic outlet when I'm not creating video games.
* It's very rewarding to have a silly idea and then realize it through this site, & it showed me how web design can be a way to express my creativity!
Bilingualism
Key Skill
* In Canada, bilingualism is a skill that is often brushed off as only being valuable within a government context.
* I disagree with this notion, learning to orally communicate in a new language was a process which deepened my understanding of communication as a whole.
